Synopsis:
This session unpacks the latest developments in the Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) sector, highlighting the surge in trustee interest and the growing gap between demand and access to professionals. It will focus on the shifting landscape of SMSF investment strategies, including current allocation of SMSF client investments, preferred assets, and the growing appetite for alternative investments.
Additionally, the session will explore the significance of intergenerational wealth transfer, including inheritance scale and timeline, structures for wealth transition, and the role of accountants and advisers in supporting financial literacy and multigenerational planning. The evolving role of the accountant in servicing SMSFs will also be highlighted.
